The 2010 Geospatial Conference will be held at the Georgia Center (University of Georgia, Center for Continuing Education) in Athens, GA from Wednesday, October 20th - Thursday, October 21st with pre-conference workshops on Tuesday, October 19th. Participants are welcome from federal, state, local governments; academic; private sector; and international organizations.
The focus this year is on "partnering for success". In a world of tight budgets, we must learn how to do more with less and one way to accomplish this is to develop strategic partnerships internally and externally. Delivering return on investment is the model for today's managers when pursuing GIS initiatives, which often requires partnering as a key to success.
This year's the conference keynote speakers and technical sessions will focus on these themes and provide real world examples and demonstrations. Presenters will be drawn from multiple disciplines to encourage partnering and cross training. We have incorporated four professional associations to mirror the partnering for success concept.
